The point is not whether former Rep. Mark Foley is gay; it is that he is sin-sick. Homosexuality has nothing to do with the actions causing his demise as a representative. Satan’s deceit in this situation is clearly deep-rooted and far reaching. How many people are apathetic or not interested in their own salvation because of Foley’s statement that his actions are based on homosexual desires? If they were based on homosexual desires then his life would not have been steeped in deception. Rather, his tendency in the current situation has been to abuse an identify with homosexuality to excuse his haphazard actions and abuse power. Maybe Mark Foley is homosexual, maybe not, but his actions imply that it is not homosexuality that caused the inappropriate activities that brought him down.
Neither molestation or pediphelia makes someone gay and being gay does not make someone a molester or pedophile. Honesty and true faith in God sees the difference.
