Being honest with ourselves is the most important foundation that we can have for any success in life at all. But it is human nature to dilute all kinds of truth with conflict, self-centerdness, and inadequate information. Anyone of any diversity who does not admit that their perceptions are diluted at least to some extent is easily lead astray and does not see others as their equals in this life. This page is dedicated to presenting information that persuasive people have believed and have changed their mind and/or been disproven. The lesson to learn here is that every person is susceptible to delusion and faith in an ultimate source of all existence is the key to truth.
Just keep in mind that as long as we are concerned about growing our faith then we are not given over to an irretrievable reprobate mind.
Simon Greenleaf:
The primary founder of Harvard Law and one of the greatest authorities on legal evidences in the history America. He set out to disprove the Gospel accounts based on the evidence and after careful study he was compelled by the evidence to accept the Gospels as faithful and trustworthy. Will you follow the evidence wherever it may lead?
Sir William Ramsey:
A Professor at Cambridge and Oxford Universities and regarded as one of the greatest archaeologists to ever live. He set out to disprove the Gospel of Luke and Acts based on the archaeological evidence. After 30 years of painstaking archaeological research he was compelled to accept the biblical accounts as faithful and trustworthy. He eventually became a Christian by accepting Jesus as his Lord and Savior.
Lew Wallace:
A famous general and literary genius who was an avowed atheist. For two years Mr. Wallace studied in the leading libraries of Europe and America seeking information to write a book that would forever destroy Christianity. While writing the second chapter of his book he suddenly found himself on his knees crying out to Jesus, "My Lord and my God."
Sir Lionel Luckoo:
The brilliant attorney whose 245 consecutive murder acquittals earned him a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world's most successful lawyer. Knighted twice by Queen Elizabeth, this former justice and diplomat scrutinized the historical facts of the Resurrection for several years and came to this conclusion, "I say unequivocally that the evidence for the Resurrection of Jesus Christ is so overwhelming that it compels acceptance by proof which leaves absolutely no room for doubt."
John Singleton Copley:
Recognized as one of the greatest legal minds in British history, comments: "I know pretty well what evidence is; and I tell you, such evidence as that for the resurrection has never broken down."
Dr. Frank Morrison:
A lawyer and engineer that believed the resurrection of Jesus was just a myth. He set out to write a book to refute this "fairy tale" and in the process of sifting through the historical evidence he like the others was compelled to accept the biblical accounts as faithful and trustworthy. His findings are in the book, "Who Moved the Stone?"
And even as they did not like to retain God in [their] knowledge,
God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Romans 1:28
