Persecution Revealed

According to ASSIST international news service, at Least 55,000 Christians are killed for their faith every year and there are 200 million more Christians suffering for their faith daily. In addition to physical violence, widespread unemployment and social ostracism also make Christians face challenge of providing food, clothing and housing for their families. Many persecuted Christians live on only $60USD monthly. I don’t doubt it at all; but wait a minute! Aren’t there hordes of people persecuted for all kinds of reasons? Should the entire human race self-identify as victims and defend ourselves from whatever harm, deception, and degradation anyone can dish out? After all, aren’t we all victimized by each other’s lack of consideration every day?
It’s time to root out the problem and attack it with a vengeance! Are you wondering what that root is yet? Of all places, the Bible gives the best example available to overcome being victims and avoid victimizing others. Many religions promote minimalist living as the answer, but that’s not what the Bible says. Being humble has a lot to do with it though. Many churches teach the prosperity gospel originally shared with high-dollar ministries by James Eugene Ewing of St Matthew’s Church in Tulsa Oklahoma in 1968 (among several other deceptive ministry name changes). There are several legitimate sources of reports about this issue and this tool has been used by too many abusers to be of God. It is similar to thieves acting as hitchhikers to steal from drivers. In both cases there are plenty of honest people who deserve support but the likelihood of harm is so high that the avenue of support just can’t be trusted any more. I love ministers, but sometimes I think I’m going to bust when ministers even think about having elaborate housing or amenities by “inviting” poverty stricken people I know to donate.
What a beam in both eyes of givers and receivers. Acclaimed believers have testified that God helped them prosper into millionaires by inventing the 4-wheel drive, technologies, safety and medical devices, and other things millions of people use every day. The Bible does say that all knowledge comes from God, but it also tells why God gives knowledge; certainly not to sell or get rich for more ease and comforts. Ezekiel 16 tells us that “the” reasons Sodom and surrounding cities were destroyed is because of pride, gluttony, spare time, and not “strengthening” poor and needy. Then OT Jerusalem became such an abomination that Sodom was justified (vs47-52) because God blessed Jerusalem specifically for blessing others but they used it to lift themselves above others (vs20-31).
Likewise, a majority of Christians support excluding those unlike themselves from real participation and leadership. Then boast how much more law-abiding and worthy churchgoers are of protection and benefits all people are legally required to pay taxes for. Christians are baffled by the lack of Muslims speaking out against those using the Quran to terrorize. But by the same token, Christians stealing the joy of people’s faith in Jesus Christ because they don’t fit the traditional “Christian image” justifies those who do not speak out against terrorism; and removes God’s protection more and more.
Jesus tried to break the religious image 2000 years ago and a new, stronger “religious” image revived and multiplied until today. Why aren’t Christians spearheading the way to God-given free energy for all here and abroad? Because it’s not profitable, will lose jobs, doesn’t raise revenue, would be used by “outsiders”, and creating energy from household refuse and the atmosphere doesn’t fit the “image”. So keep babying the eternal “children” of faith and ignoring the enduring joy of nontraditional believers and the poor of all beliefs. God will keep forgiving the beam in your eyes, won’t He?
